Centre for Performing and Visual Arts
An extension of the Coweta County School System, the Centre is a venue for art shows, musical and theatrical productions, award presentations, graduation ceremonies, etc.  
 
Dunaway Gardens
Dunaway Gardens has been described as one of the south's largest natural rock and floral gardens. There are spring-fed pools, stone waterfalls and extensive hand-laid rock paths, walls, and staircases throughout the approximately twenty five acre tract.

Black Arts Festival

Georgia Shakespeare

Georgia Shakespeare has been performing Shakespeare plays for Atlanta audiences since 1985. Originally named the Georgia Shakespeare Festival, Georgia's second largest professional theater company has extended its summertime theater festival into fall. From June till early November, Georgia Shakespeare presents a handful of productions at Conant Performing Arts Center, located at Atlanta's Oglethorpe University. The Georgia Shakespeare theater season kicks off in the spring with Shake at the Lake, several days of outdoor performances held at midtown Atlanta's Piedmont Park.

Dogwood Festival

This annual celebration of spring is held each April and offers music, visual art, food and fun activities for the entire family – there’s even a canine Frisbee competition for four-legged members of the family.

Jazz Festival

Peachtree Road Race

Atlanta Botanical Garden

Cyclorama

The High Museum

Fernbank Science Center

Fernbank Science Center boasts a 500-seat planetarium; an observatory; a 65-acre forest; greenhouse facilities; physical science, life science and space-life laboratories; a meteorological lab with seismographs; and more. Stone Mountain

Centennial Olympic Park

Atlanta's Centennial Olympic Park, a remaining legacy of the 1996 Centennial Olympic Games, features family fun and live music many days each week. Music At Noon presents local bands performing mid-day and Wednesday Wind Down features jazz during rush hour. Fourth Saturday Family Fun Day is free with performers and children's activities. The Fountain Show displays a dancing water show harmonized with pop music, lights and sound effects. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. National Historic Site

Begin your visit to the Martin Luther King, Jr. National Historic Site at the National Park Service Visitor Center. There, you can sign up for a free guided tour of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.'s birth home. You can also watch a half-hour video about MLK's life as well as a short video about the children of the civil rights movement. For an introduction to the words of Martin Luther King Jr., you can browse through the exhibit "Courage to Lead."
